Aspirin and omeprozol question 🇬🇧

Backstory. With my first baby I was prescribed aspirin due to high bmi. I took it as prescribed until I ended up throwing up blood at 7/8 months pregnant and then I was told I should have been put on omeprozol to protect my stomach lining. I was then never told to stop taking it and when I went in to being induced I was having nose bleeds and they said I should have been told to stop taking it weeks ago.

I’m now pregnant with my second. Prescribed aspirin again and again no omeprozol. I called to speak to a doctor and they didn’t seem to know what they’re doing and just agreed I should be taking omeprozol and prescribed it..

Question:

Is anyone else in the UK in a similar situation and did you get given any clearer better information than what I’ve been given??
