Spotting/light flow on birth control ??

I recently started taking a combo pill.

I hadn’t had any issues with bleeding until I started spotting yesterday and it hasn’t stopped. It’s brown and bright red, and it’s mostly spotting but could also be considered a light flow. I have some cramps with this too. I’m about halfway through my pack and I take my pill at the same exact time every day (I haven’t skipped a day/missed a day, and I take it at the same time daily).

Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I haven’t been in birth control in a few years, but I don’t remember having spotting/breakthrough bleeding. I still have 8 white pills until my placebos.

I’m currently taking Mibelas 24 Fe (generic for Minastrin- it’s chewable). Has anybody had similar experiences- whether that be with this specific birth control or another?
