Is extreme bleeding with MC normal?

They said it’ll be like a heavy period but this is like how I bled after having my son. Like constant gushes of blood. Today is the day my bleeding actually picked up it was light the last two days but I’ve also been passing large clots ( it may have been the sac I don’t know ) and lots of tissue. I’m just scared I’ll freaking bleed to death or go anemic. I see my OBGYN tomorrow I just don’t know if I should be safe and head to the hospital tonight or push through till my appointment tomorrow? The pain has gotten unbearable. I feel like I’m in labor. This is my first MC.
