BMI is bullishit

Anyone else here pregnant with a high BMI?

My BMI is currently 42, it started at 38 at the beginning of pregnancy. Yes I’m trying to watch what I eat but I also wasn’t too worried until now, my last appointment with Midwife, she said our local hospital won’t let me have the baby there if my BMI is 45 or above, they would send me to the city (5hr drive) which i obviously don’t want. I’m 25 + 2 wks at the moment,so still a bit to go, generally gunna put more weight on right, but told that it’s unhealthy to diet when pregnant! Just makes me nervous. I generally do eat a good diet, I’ve always been a big build 😭
