Saturday meeting up with an old guy friend for coffee. He specifically said we should go out to coffee sometime but something about how we've talked since has me thinking that maybe its a date? Not just a meet up?

Im not sure how to dress. Ive not gone on a first date in forever and haven't dated much. I also don't want to assume its a date either. I'd be fine with platonic or romantic either way.

How does one dress for a coffee date before noon if you're not sure whether its friendly or if its become a date? I dont really want to ask since I'm fine with it being either way and make anything awkward before we meet up (although if things progress in a flirty manner I'm fine with asking later)

Just so you know "wear what you usually wear" is difficult for me because I wear many different styles. I dress fancy, I dress office, I dress down too (I live in the woods). I dress all kinds of ways so thats why I'm asking. I sometimes have trouble gaging the right level of dress for the occasion and often am overdressed.
