Should I break up?

I’ll make this short cause I’ve honestly been lost
I’ve been with my bf 8 years. Never lived together. We commute 1 hr to see eachother once a week
He’s been talking about moving soon for the past year. 
Im Kinda upset because I’ve told him I want to get proposed to, a wedding, then a place then a baby.
He doesn’t care about a wedding he said that will happen one day. 
Like am I wrong to want this from a man? Veo proposed to and all that
I’ve been given a promise ring when I was 22 and I’m 28 now 
I want a wedding and all that but I’m afraid the grass isn’t greener on the other side and can potentially just regret this
He’s been my first love and everything I’m lost

8 years is a long time. Don’t make him propose bc it’s the next step. But don’t stay bc you’ve invested 8 years. I firmly believe if a man wants to marry you, he won’t wait a decade to ask. I wish you the best.

I personally think you're wasting your time when you could have aan that's right there with you, who wants the same future as you. I think you'll find that with a person right in front of you who actually wants to marry you and move forward in life with you, you'll realize a deeper connection and true love.

20s vs 30s are totally different. I was with someone in my 20s wanted the traditional but we had a child first and then life unraveled and it didn’t work out. I’m now in my mind 20s and I’m grateful I didn’t marry him. I got the “engagement ring” but we were both so young and obviously growing apart but held on to the time we spent together like a tug of war. 
Im now engaged and getting married in 2 months to someone I dated with intention. Like we spent a weekend together our first date at a beach and had so much time to learn one another. He made his intentions clear as well from me opening up. We’ll be purchasing a home or renting one soon and things have fallen in line. And my ex still wants me back but Im so done with him. 
I say all this to say when you’re 20, you hardly know yourself so dating is fun but when you’re locked in for 2-3+ years and there’s no sign of growing together, let it go and save yourself the trouble. Your visions change and that’s okay!!! Find someone like minded cause he’s running you in circles.

My husband asked me to marry him after we had been together for 8 years. We got together at the age of 19. We were talking about getting married but when he did it I was so surprised. I knew it would happen but wasn't sure when. He proposed to me in July and in September we got married. In May I became pregnant. My husband never wanted to get married or have kids. Sometimes it takes longer when you're in a relationship. Sometimes someone doesn't want to get married. Some people think that getting married is just a piece of paper and nothing more. Hopefully you get answers soon. By the way my husband and I have been married for 4 years now. We have been together for 12 years.

You’ve wasted 8 years. This is when an ultimatum should be given and be ready to walk away. He doesn’t want to get married, he told you that. And you don’t live together after this long. This relationship hasn’t progressed.
We just had our 8 year dating anniversary yesterday. We’ve been married 5 years now and have had two kids. We were older when we met. I was 28, him 29. But we knew right from the start we both wanted marriage and kids.

I think it’s important to live with someone before getting married and starting a family but if you think that he won’t give you any of these other things even if you did live together then it’s time to cut him loose and move on otherwise you’re just wasting your time for things that aren’t going to happen.
