What does “woke” mean?

Like if someone says “I’m woke”, or “they aren’t woke enough”, what would that mean?

Answer

Plainly put, and for lack of better words, It means seeing though the bullshit of society or societal norms. 
Like most people are operating under societal pressure and have a “vail” over their eyes, like blind sheep, and woke people have removed the that “vail”. At least that’s how I understand it.
