Peanut allergy ???

Question

So my lil one was tested for peanut allergies.. it is elevated the dr said but nothing concerning…….    My cousins lil one is extremely allergic n has an epi pen. But my cousin said it was the same result from the test…..    any advice?   I also really need to find a family physician….

When my daughter got the testing done milk/egg/and all nuts came back elevated. She is 4 now and egg and milk don’t cause much reaction, there are some foods she will get a few hives with and be itchy. Now as far as the peanut goes she had cashew butter when she was little and got a scary reaction on her face so since then I stayed away from all nuts. This last November she ended up eating chocolate with Hazelnut… long story short we went to the ER. Very scary. I would ask your doctor if you can do some testing in office that way if anything were to happen you are already where you need to be. 
Food allergies are confusing because on one hand they say you can’t be allergic to something you’ve never tried but yet when you get blood work done it says otherwise?? Idk i would do whatever you are most comfortable with.

I think current research states allergens early and often. I know that high risk babies are supposed to start peanuts as early as 4 months old in some cases to decrease their risk. Have they ever had a reaction before? If not, I would keep using the allergen as often as possible. If they haven’t even had the allergen before, I would follow the normal protocol for introducing a new allergen and see how it goes
