What was your BP with preeclampsia?

I had my 35 week appointment yesterday and my blood pressure was 138/79. The nurse mentioned it was high and tried again and got the same result. My doctor didn’t say anything. Today I’m really nauseous and just feel super off. Should I be worried? 
What was your blood pressure with pre eclampsia? Did you go on to deliver vaginally?

There are other factors to preeclampsia than just high blood pressure.. like changes in vision, pain under the rib, swelling.. they’d have to test your urine to see if there’s any protein in it. I have never had preeclampsia, but with both of my 2 pregnancies I had to be induced early due to hypertension. With my last baby I’m pretty sure my BP was 136/85 the day they decided to induce me. I went in for my appointment & they told me I needed to be admitted. I was 38 weeks. With both inductions I’ve had they have been vaginal births. You could just have hypertension.. which they still induce for, they’d need to run more tests to see if it’s preeclampsia. Nausea can be a symptom of preeclampsia. I would ask them to test you if they haven’t already & they should be monitoring your BP.

I would definitely call them and tell them your symptoms at least ask to have them check the protein in your urine. I had severe preeclampsia that came on suddenly with very high bp, migraine and blurred vision. I was induced at 36 weeks but ended up having a emergency c section

My BP was trending upwards throughout my 3rd trimester with my first. Started out borderline high and then was 143/104 at my 38 week appointment. They sent me to L&D and my BP continued to stay high. Official diagnosis was gestational hypertension and they decided to go ahead and deliver that day. I did have a c section but only because my baby was breech, otherwise I would have been induced for a vaginal delivery. If you aren't feeling well I would continue to monitor your BP either with an at home BP cuff and updates to your provider or by calling and asking if they want you to come in to be monitored before your next visit. This time around I'm being monitored more closely and taking bp meds and baby aspirin. Hopefully you feel better soon!
