The syrup they give you for the glucose test is dyed with artificial colorants which are known carcinogens, and the synthetic sugar load is terrible for a healthy adult; never mind a pregnant woman trying to grow a healthy baby!

If you want an alternative, talk to your medical team about drinking juice boxes for the glocose test instead. The grams of sugar for two juice boxes is the same, but it's much healthier for you and less likely to make you puke.

I'm the 8th of my friends to challenge the system, and just successfully convinced my team to let me do the juice instead 😊
