Advice???

I had a boyfriend years ago…

Like 8 years ago, we touched base a few times over the years. He ended up with a bad person who drug him down and eventually she ended up giving up their child and he went to prison…

It wasn’t until his sentencing and I saw his face again and remembered him before the bad happened that I realized I missed him while heartedly… he doesn’t know I’ve been trying to reach him but I sent off his letter, the first letter… Saturday night. I’m anxiously awaiting for it to be delivered. He doesn’t get out until January 2025, possible parole next January. Advice on trying to make it work or repair things while loved ones are behind bars?
