Baby growing but no heartbeat?

I went in for my second appointment to try to get a heartbeat again. Nothing the first time and nothing the second time. Doctor said the baby looks better and bigger. I have always had horrible periods that were never on schedule and have no clue when my ovulation is. I am hoping I am not as far as I thought I was especially if the doctor said the baby looks better and bigger. Anyone have opinions or have anything similar happen? I have been going crazy and getting no answers! Please and thank you!
