6 month old suddenly waking up at midnight and not going back to sleep

For the last week or so my baby (6 months) has been waking up at 1030pm to nurse (normal for him), and then going to sleep, but re-waking up at 1130pm and not falling back to sleep until around 2am. He’s never done this before, he always used to go right back to sleep and stay asleep until at least 3-4am. He just cries and cries, I try to rock him, sing to him, feed him, literally nothing works. I tried giving him gripe water but it doesn’t seem to change anything. Also tried Tylenol in case it’s teething but doesn’t do anything either. Has this happened to anyone else? Please tell me it gets better 😭
