Am I wrong for not wanting to visit my husband’s grandparents when our kids are sick?

So my husband has today through Monday off. He wanted to take the time to go visit his grandparents in Georgia. Where we live, it’s about a 6-7 hour drive. Both our kids are sick with a cold type virus and this morning my husband woke up sick too. He still wants to go. I told him I don’t think it’s a good idea. The kids do not feel good. One of them is asleep on the couch (very unlike him). On top of that, his grandparents are OLD and his grandfather has an enlarged heart. A cold virus could put them in the hospital or worse. My husband says I’m being dramatic and selfish “because I don’t want to go because I don’t like his family.”

It’s true that I’m not a fan of his family. They’re very racist. But I was going to go anyway. This has everything to do with the fact we are SICK.

Am I really being dramatic?
