I am a big pregnancy gainer . 60 with my first 70 with my second . Lost it both times between 18-24 months postpartum when I got pregnant with my next . I feel like my metabolism doesn’t go back to normal until about 12 months pp. Then things start to pay off . This time I’m on track for 80lb weight gain I’d say lol. It is what it is . I know with my non pregnant habits I will lose it again eventually. And won’t be nothing a high waisted bikini top can’t fix at the end lol . My last pregnancy so I’m not gonna stress it too much.

I found it easier to lose weight the second time, because I was so active caring for two little ones. I also only had 9 months between pregnancies, which didn't give me a lot of time to lose the weight. If you start now, you'll already be in the habit of light exercise and meal planning before babe arrives! I'm planning to have a freezer full and pantry stocked with quick, healthy meals so it's easy for us to eat well while navigating our newborn. Be gentle with your body's recovery, I promise your babies won't care if it takes a couple years to regain your fitness.

I found it harder to lose it and never lost the last 10 before becoming pregnant again (but my LO was only 11 months old when I got pregnant again with my third).

It was harder for me the second time. I never gain more than 35lbs in a pregnancy but I had a solid 8-10lbs that hung on for dear life after my second. However, I think it was mainly because I had two kids to care for and sometimes dinner involved takeout vs a healthy dinner. My spouse was deployed and no family nearby so it was just me taking care of two kids. I just didn’t have time to workout as much as I wanted to nor was I capable of making healthy meal choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day. If you are capable of healthy eating and taking care of yourself it’s possible you won’t have a hard time losing any of the extra weight.
