Medical history during labor

How to avoid being asked about medical history(stds) at hospital during labor ? I don’t want my medical info to be told In front of my family in triage when I’m at the hospital during labor? (This happened at my daughters birth) Is there a way to avoid that? Maybe writing my medical history/medications I’m taking on paper this time so it’s not said out loud so directly?

Has anyone done this before ?
