Progesterone

All my tests have come back ok but I have a 10-12 day luteal phase so the doc wants to try Letrozol next cycle which she says will support ovulation and progesterone production…I’ll also be getting a “trigger shot” so that should help too but I don’t think I have an issue ovulating…in my fertile window now and I have blood work at CD22 which should tell me more but I’m debating trying topical progesterone this time around but should I just wait and see how the labs come back before using it? Is there any harm in taking progesterone if I don’t need it?

Any experiences with any of this welcomed!
