Yeast infection or STI?

so basically my boyfriend came over a few days ago and obviously we had sex. there was a little bit of blood that night but i just put a panty liner on and called it a night. figured i got another period even though i had one not even two weeks earlier (after being on Nexplanon and not having one at all for about 4 years. i get it taken out next year). 
the day after i got really bad itching down there and i’m pretty sure it’s a yeast infection. my main concern is that this is the worst yeast infection i’ve ever had, and i’ve had 3 by now. the itchiness is unbearable. however in my past infections i’ve never had ANY bleeding, let alone how bad it is now. it’s like a really heavy period, but i’m not experiencing any other period symptoms. i’m worried my boyfriend gave me an STI because it hurt a bit during intercourse and now i’m itching and bleeding heavy. 
has anyone else experienced a yeast infection either really heavy bleeding or do i need to have a talk with my boyfriend???

Not a doctor but I’m assuming you got a yeast infection because you haven’t had a period in 4 years. It’s common for your ph balance to be off before and after periods. I can only imagine if you haven’t had one for a while. And yeast infections can cause vaginal tears if you engage in intercourse during one, and those tiny tears can lead to bleeding and I imagine cause itching and discomfort.
Now if you’re full on bleeding then idk? Sounds like your bc is getting wonky. Maybe it’s time for a new one?
