Cycle buddies testing 5/3 or 5/4?

Question

Been TTC #1 since going off BCP's in Sept 2013. I'm turning 33 this month, husband is 38. Really hoping for our BFP in the beginning of May! I'm currently CD 5 in my 30-31 day usual cycle. Have been using opk's, tracking CM & just started charting bbt last month. Anyone else in the same boat? I looked in the cycle buddy room & wasn't finding anyone near my cycle...would be great to have some buddies!

You're so right...and I think I'm getting there (to the place where I know I don't truly control ANY of this & that I just need to let it be what it's gonna be). I want to get to the mindset that says, "it'll happen when it's meant to happen, just enjoy the process." I keep saying that mantra to myself every time someone asks me when my husband & I are going to start having kids (which is daily). I'm starting to believe myself when I say this. I'm also trying to remember that I can choose sadness/bitterness/crying when people ask about the process or I can choose to smile & have hope. I'm really trying to stick with hope.

Hey Jamie - the way I see it, good or bad, life happens. I can't always choose what happens, But, the one thing no one can take from me is how I choose to respond to any given situation. I choose how I feel. I didn't choose to have a hard time ttc. This is just the hand we were dealt. I could get mad, angry, upset, depressed, anxious, hopeless, scared... And at times I have been all of these. But what does that accomplish? Feeling those things hasn't helped me conceive, so then I have 2 problems - I'm not pg and I feel terrible. So instead I choose to have hope. I choose to believe it will happen. And I continue to look for answers. It's not easy. Right now I do feel badly. I'm frustrated. For the 1st time I had what I thought was implantation bleeding at 10 dpo. I waited. I tested. BFN. I guess I'm not 'out' yet -AF isn't due yet but she'll come. I just need to know why. I can't fix it if I don't know what's broken. I'll be fine. I just needed to vent.

I tested this morning and when I got in the shower it looked negative and when I got out a very faint second line showed up. Ahh?!? I am going to test again on Sunday when my AF is due. Kinda nervous!

Thanks, Letty. I swear I don't know what I'd do without the people on this app. I'd be driving myself & my poor husband nuts! I can't imagine 3 years, but you have such a great attitude about it.
And to the new Jamie on the thread (who also spells her name correctly!) - thinking positive baby dust thoughts your way, too!
Simone, that cruise sounds fantastic! My husband & I honeymooned in Jamaica last fall...wish we were there right now!

​Jamie - I totally feel you. It's beyond frustrating. My husband and I have been ttc for 3y. I wish I could tell you it gets easier, but it doesn't. You do, however, learn to let go, and not be so hard on yourself. For me, I just couldn't be helpless. I need to always be working toward a solution, rather than just waiting for the pregnancy fairy to throw some glitter my way. So if that means I have to be poked, prodded and undergo procedures, I'm ok with that. The only thing I can't do is quit.

​This must have just been a crazy month - my cycle is 26-28 days, but I'm also getting my period early. It wasn't due until 5/5.

​  I'm glad to meet you and to be able to be a support for one another. I hope soon we'll all be pg, and then we will be able to share those stories as well.

I'll be testing this Sunday too. This is my first full cycle after having surgery for endometriosis. I had two previous MCs in the last year. This will be our
​first baby. Very hopeful! Currently 7-8 DPO.

I'm testing 5/4 and AF is due 5/9. If I get a bfn on the 4th I'll wait again until the 9th. I'm 32 and dh is 33 and I'm hoping we get preggo this cycle too. Our honeymoon is in 2.5 weeks so it would be great to surprise him then
