Is 20 too young to have a baby??

I'm 20 and I'm 5 weeks pregnant , I come from a very religious family and I'm afraid they'll treat me like I'm too young. But me and my fiancé (who will be 22 next month) are both emotionally ready and financially very well off . But I can't help but feel ashamed :( , any opinions?

20 is not too young at all, society in general are having fewer children at an older age, however you do not have to follow with the norm. My mother had me at 21 in college. She finished her degree and she and I are very close. I am pregnant now at 22 with my fiancé and I am overjoyed. I always knew that I wouldn't wait until I was in my 30's to have kids. You have way more energy to keep up when you're young in my opinion. My mother had my sister when she was 33 and there was a big difference in her energy level. There were times I had to stay up with the baby because my mom was too tired. Your family's beliefs are their own. You are getting ready to start a family that establishes it's own belief system. Your family will deal and they will love you, your fiancé, and the new baby. And if they don't there are plenty of scriptures from the bible especially New Testament that you can recite...other than that have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Try not to worry about what others think, i dont feel like 20 is like a whoa age, it is  young but i dont feel to young, what matters is u and ur fiancé taking care of this precious gift yall now have! Sounds like ur mature, and can financially care for this baby which are better than some old adults ive met!!! Take care of ur self and that baby and you will be just fine

20 is not too young in my opinion. My best friend gave birth to her first baby aged only 18, she is one of the best mothers I know. Women mature a lot earlier than men usually, and many are very maternal and ready to start a family at a young age. Don't be ashamed, you've done nothing wrong. Congratulations! Best wishes x
