Protein shakes while pregnant?

Anyone know if it's safe to drink? I've been on protein shakes for years and just not sure if I should continue while pregnant?

My doctor said they are safe. If you have a protein shake for breakfast don't eat a full meal with it. She said that's what causes the weight gain. Other than that they are perfectly fine!

I would ask your doctor. What's the name brand of Shake? Or do you make your own? My DH seems to think I can still drink muscule milk but I am going to wait until my apt in two weeks.
