When do they give you a ultrasound?

In the uk, unless we have any abnormalities, we don't get a scan until 12 weeks. I had one at 7+4 because I had one sided pains but that was nothing serious. Xx

We got the call yesterday to say I got a positive preg blood test. We went through IVF, so I know that I'm 2.5 weeks along - this is from the date of egg coll and not my last period. Anyway, I'll have my first US at 6.5 weeks - they described this as the test that will confirm my pregnancy. I'm glad it's that early, I'd hate to wait until 12 weeks. I think my sis had an US around that time too because they needed to work out how far along she was.

With my first baby, they gave me an ultrasound I believe at eight weeks which was right after I found out I was pregnant, via a home test.

I got one at 10 weeks, then I got one done at my genetic scan at 13 week. I will be getting another one in early sept so I will be around 6 months by then.

Standard with my doctor in Australia I went in and got blood taken to test for any problems that I may have (STI's, low iron etc) and also to test for HCG levels (to determine pregnancy) and also a urine sample (for same reason). 
​Wait to get results back in a couple days, then they schedule your 7week scan. Then goes on from there.

I had one at 6 weeks, but only due to spotting I was having. At my 8 week appointment I received a schedule of what to expect at each visit. I get an ultrasound between 11 - 13 weeks to measure the babies nuchal translucency and an anatomy ultrasound between 18-20 weeks.
