TTC in Tokyo

Sabrina
Hi everyone. This is my first time posting on something like this so please be kind!
I'm currently TTC for our first child, however I'm doing so in Tokyo where my partner and I currently live. We're both from the UK originally and I've got to say, it's more lonely and stressful than I thought!
We both work at an all Japanese company, and although I speak relatively good Japanese I feel as if I don't really have any close friends. A couple maybe but that's about it. None of the staff at our job really speak English except for one particular staff member who I'm closer with, she's a great help but I still can't help feeling isolated. We have friends outside of this job who speak Engliah but we can very rarely meet as their jobs are pretty long hours. Of course I have friends in the UK but the time difference and not being able to chat and meet often sometimes takes it's toll. As for meeting other TTC mothers here, it might be nice but between working, learning Japanese and TTC it's a little difficult to look...
On top of that last November I miscarried so I'm terrified it'll happen again. The DH is amazingly supportive, we've been together 10 years since our teens and so we are very close, but sometimes you just need another woman around to chat to, you know?
TL;DR TTC in a different country for your first time is difficult! Any advice?
