A dear friend gave me the blessing of being her baby's godmother. She is having a baby shower in 3 weeks, which I am helping host. The price is getting out of control and it is causing me to become frustrated. She is having a shower with more than 100 people and wants top notch everything. Instead of a chair she wants a white leather sofa, expensive favors, and expensive prizes for games (50 dollar gift cards) This angers me, because this is her fourth child, she is in her late 30s, and it seems to be all to get gifts, no celebrate the birth of her child. I also found out the baby has 3 godmothers. I have the money to do it, but after talking it over with my husband and grandmother ( who are still angry at her about her behavior at my bridal shower/wedding) and they said no it is ridiculous. I don't know what to do, I am feeling used.
