Anyone else have recurrent miscarriages?

Sandra
I can get pregnant, with the help of clomid but I can't stay pregnant. I'm doing blood testing at the end of the month to see if I have a hormone problem or if I have a blood clotting disorder. Anyone else in the same boat?

I've had two miscarriages since January. The first was a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks and then second at about 5 weeks. I got my bloodwork done and everything came back normal so we were told to try again. A question about some past scans that showed a possible bicornuate uterus led to an MRI that found I actually had a uterine septum. I had surgery back in May to remove it and am finally cleared to start trying again. It was a long, anxious summer; I just want to put my body to the test! We're really hoping the septum was the issue and that my body can keep a baby.

I had one loss before conceiving our son. That was at 6.5 weeks after seeing a heartbeat. Then with our daughter I had one loss at 12 weeks after seeing and hearing a heartbeat. 4 losses between 5-6 weeks and one tubal pregnancy. I did not have to take clomid. I was tested for everything under the sun and pushed for lovenox when I did get pregnant with my daughter but nothing came back strongly enough to have my RE, MFM or OB feel like I needed it.

I've had two this year while TTC our first - one in January at 11 weeks and one in April at 10 weeks. My OB got me to do a bunch of blood tests after the second but they all came back totally fine, so at the moment according to the doctors it's looking more than likely that we've just had a run of bad luck. Baby dust everyone. x

Have you been tested for the MTHFR mutation? I have had three early losses and I tested positive for MTHFR. Its something to look into. The regimen to prevent another loss is very simple as well. Lots of people don't know about this and some physicians don't agree that it causes recurrent losses. I was just lucky enough to have an OB who has done research on it and tested me right away so that it doesn't happen again.

Me too. And that said it can cause micro clots so I'm on baby aspirin once a day.

My naturopath had me tested and it came up positive. I'm on a regimen of methylated b vitamins now.

I have had two miscarriages. One last year at 6 weeks, and one this year at 13 weeks. After undergoing some testing, we just started trying again. My doctor doesn't do any testing until the third miscarriage, so we found another doctor who would. Blood tests and ultrasound (when I wasn't pregnant) found no abnormalities. I just wish we knew why this happened and whether it will happen again. That's what is so scary for me. I want to get pregnant because I want to have a baby, but I also am terrified of getting pregnant again because it might result in another loss. We really thought we were in the clear this last time because we saw a heartbeat at six weeks and we made it past the 12-week mark. I don't know how I'm ever going to be able to relax and enjoy future pregnancies now.

Hi, I had a miscarriage Oct 13 at 14 weeks, no one knew the cause other than I had an 'infection'. Months of pondering on how/why I went back to the doc in feb with flank pains. I was tested and it turns out I had BV-  bacterial vaginosis. This condition is so common and nothing to be ashamed of. When not pregnant the condition goes unnoticed, but when pregnant undetected BV can be devastating. One of the main factors it's causes is premature water breaking  or premature labour. I would suggest you ask your doctor to test for this or conduct your own ph tests because this may be the reason the test results are coming back fine but miscarriage is recurrent. I am currently TTC so completely understand how everyone is feeling. Xx

I've lost two babies. The first in 2009 at 7 weeks. I started back TTC asap.  I tried for years and finally was able to conceive in 2012 , I got to 17 weeks with that pregnancy before losing it due to unknown complications. And I have been TTC ever since. I'm still hopeful despite my many failed attempts.
