Are your 30s the best time to get pregnant?

What do you think are some of the advantages of getting pregnant in your 30s? What about disadvantages?

Seriously, y'all - check out Jean Twenge's well-researched article in The Atlantic. In short, research shows having your baby in your late 20s & early 30s shows negligible physical differences but having child in your 30s shows notable emotional/psychological positives. She ultimately says the sweet spot (taking physical and emotional both into account) seems 33-35. GL to all!

I agree. I feel more prepared both financially and emotionally to care for a child. DH and I have responsibly approached the idea of parenthood to ensure our relationship is a stable foundation for a family. I feel like my priorities are also more laser focused on my current and future family. I do worry about my fertility and energy levels. I also worry that I won't have "time" to have as many children we think we want. This process is exciting and nerve racking all at the same time! (Can you tell I'm a bit of a planner/control freak?) ?

I think times have changed and waiting to start a family is smart. ? the maturity of parents and stability in the home is far more important. We are all blessed in so many ways. Yes fertility decrease, but it does not become impossible. Maybe we will just appreciate our bundles of joy a bit more which is a blessing in itself?. GL ladies!

I would say mid 20's.  That's when I had no problem with my first pregnancy.  I'm 32 now and have had 2 mc's.  So with that said.  There are tons of women over 30 having healthy babies.  Chin up ;)

The only downside is your age and the fact fertility goes down with age, I think.
