'Washing' a confusing test to see if Evap or positive

I was and still am extremely baffled as to why a first choice pregnancy test showed faint pink. 4 other Walmart ones showed partial lines after developed times but after a few days faded completely away. Took a digital and yes I know they only pick up 50 levels.... So I got desperate... And found online how to "wash" a test. After it was completely dry put a couple drops of water on the sample area. And wait for it to dry, it's supposed to delete any questions of evaporation lines. Well I did it and the faint pink line is still there... I took a Walmart test three days after this one and there was nothing..Chemical/ Eptopic?Have any of you tried the washing method. YES I KNOW ITS NOT RECCOMENDED YADA YADA YADA. I am on the pill for a month and lost my 23 week old bby boy June 19th. I watched my levels go to zero btw so it's not residual. Spotted and cramped a week early and have full blown period bleeding and cramps today. Left picture is an hr after test was taken cuz I left the house right after on Friday.I "washed" it today and the right picture is after washing.
