When to test for ovulation?

I am trying to see if I even ovulate. I was told I have mild pcos and need to start temping and charting opks. I'm a bit confused as to when I should test I am currently on cd2 had a 29 day cycle and which is normal its in between 28-30 days. Any advice ladies? Oh BTW I am 21 ttc#1 not on any fertility meds as if now my gyno wants to see charting bbt and opks first I have an appt in 3weeks with him so we will see?

Start taking your temp right away first thing in the morning, at the same time every day. Don't get out of bed or move too much.

​As for the opk's, I'd say start based on what the box says. I think for a 38 day cycle, I'd probably start around cd 7-8 if it was me. Earlier is fine, just more POAS.

​Until you've figured it out, I think testing a few times a day is a good idea if possible. Good luck!
