If my cycle is irregular, how do I try my ovulation?

I've been trying for months to get pregnant and then I found out I had appendicitis, now I'm nervous and scared about getting pregnant. Any advice on how to track my cycle since it's irregular. Oh and how long should I wait after surgery to try and get pregnant again?

Use opks every day from when your oeriod stops. Also you can check cervical mucuos but its quite hard, i would use it as a secondary sign xx

Use OPK (and track bbt) every day after AF is gone. The more you track, the more you'll know about your body. I had irregular cycles so OPKs were my only hope for getting pregnant and I got my BFP my second month trying. My first month was trial and error.
