Measuring behind?

Question

I am six weeks today and I had my first u/s this morning. My doc said the measurements are alittle behind at 5 weeks 4 days. She also could not find a heartbeat, but said the sac and the fetal pole are corresponding with one another.
 I am scared and nervous. Anyone have any success stories?

Definitely too early to see a heartbeat so don't worry too much for now. I don't think they detected ours until we were almost 7 weeks. Baby was actually measuring 5 days ahead of what they thought it should be based on the IVF date but they decided to stick to the IVF date for purposes of determining a due date.

Our US tech told is being out by 1m can completely change the due date and it's easy to do. We had our first scan at 7w and it came back 4 days out. Our 12w scan measured right on. Although our doctos have ignored all of this and just using our IVF dates because this is considered far more accurate that US estimated dates. Plus the implantation time can impact how far along the baby measures.

No method of dating a pregnancy is completely accurate.  F you think you are 6 weeks and measure 5w4d that seems very normal to me and too early to see the heart beat.  Do you have a follow up scan booked?  Try not to worry!
