Recent MC?

I am going through a MC since yesterday at 5w2d pregnant & I am so devastated.. This would have been my 2nd child, DS is 10m old. I'm just in need of someone to talk to.. What comes next? When can I try again? Does this make me high risk if I do get pregnant again? I feel like a failure..

I'm so sorry. I miscarried 15 days ago at 7 wks 1 day. I have a 6 yr old boy. This too would have been out second child. Every day I'm finding peace in this situation, although the heartbreak is still there. My OB said wait at least one cycle to try again. Truthfully I feel like trying again sooner may help me to move forward. I'm here if you want to talk, it's been very hard but I promise... You will make it through this! This too shall pass ?

Your not a failure! It happens! You should take a month or so to prepare to start trying again. Let your body clean out from this. I'm not sure how long you should really wait maybe something to ask your obgyn. But when you are physically and emotionally ready to try again then go for it!

Sorry for your loss. I had a mc a year ago. It's the worst feeling ever. I still think abt it once in a while but it's ok you'll pull thru :( hope you're feeling better

Hey, I completely feel your pain. I just suffered 2 back to back miscarriages, one at 7 weeks and the other at 5 weeks 3 days. It was devastating also, but it helps having my 2 year old by my side to crack me up and make me smile. After my 1st miscarriage my doctor told me I could try again right away since there are no studies stating that waiting is better. However, I did end up having a 2nd miscarriage. :( Despite everyone's thoughts & opinions, my husband and I are going to try again this month to see if we can get pregnant for a 3rd time in a row. I'm hoping the 3rd time is a charm, but if not, we'll be waiting quite a while longer. :/ You are NOT a failure, you are human. This unfortunate part of life happens to so many women. It sucks, but you'll get through it. If you want to talk anytime just let me know! xox

I had a miscarriage at 5 wk 3 days.  Because it was so early and my hcg levels came back to zero (confirmed through blood test) we are trying again this month. My doctor said the main reason to wait is because if I got pregnant this month I wouldn't have a reliable last period to date the pregnancy from. I know when I ovulated though and last time I got my bfp they used my o date and counted back two weeks (because I ovulated later and it wouldn't have been reliable). It's also very much about when you are ready emotionally. This doesn't make you a failure.  It is really common in early pregnancy.

You can talk to me about some of these things. Although I have a medical background, your medical questions should be directed at your OB/midwife. You are not a failure. I believe this is God's way of saying that the baby wasn't going to be healthy. I am so very sorry. You should visit a physician to make sure the MC is complete before trying again- some say 6 months, but many are successful and healthy when waiting just one.

I miscarried at 9 weeks with my second baby 4 weeks ago. I had the DC I didn't want to torture myself waiting. Just ending my first period today. I'm 40 and dr said just wait until I've had a period and try again if we wish. No you will not be high risk if you have just had one MC, they don't. "Worry" until you have had three consecutive. I have a one year old as well.

I mc in July. Would have been my second. I cried for days. I had a lot of support and I am doing so well now. You will find peace. Nothing you have done has made this mc happen. Nothing. It happens in nearly 25% of pregnancies. I chose to mc naturally and I wish I hadn't. I always heard the term mc but you never truly know what it means until you go through it. I had small labor like contractions, and the whole thing was a mess!!! Luckily everything passed and my next af came normal. It can be painful. Hope you have some support. Praying for you.
