Spotting after massage

Does anyone else have brown spotting after massage? The masseuse knows I'm pregnant and midwife says brown is just old blood and should come out anyway. It's still unsettling! I hate to stop the massages because I feel so much better afterwards mentally and physically.. And I really don't feel anything during the process is hurting the baby.. Nothing's deep or too hard. I'm 12 weeks. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
