Cycle Buddies fail

Why is it that week after week you try and find some good cycle buddies and you hear from them for a couple days and then nothing. It sucks when no one but your so knows you are ttc & then you get on here and can't seem to make a real connection. I've seen some cycle buddies groups who seem like they are really there for each other..which that was easier to find....
