Has anyone had a Hysterosalpingogram?

I have PCOS and trying to conceive. Before my doc will prescribe clomid she wants me to get an x ray of my uterus and fallopian tube. Anyone out there had the procedure? Any insight?

I did not have that test! But had the clomad.. I wonder if my gyne is doing it wrong? All my friends had the same by doing the x-Ray n later clomad.. When I asked her she shoo shoo me away.. It's time to change a new gyne I guess!!!

I had this procedure about a year ago.  I have an allergy to iodine.  So,  mine was done at the hospital & not in the office.  Minimal cramping.  Not a bad procedure.   I have heard the procedure can sometime open things up making it easier to get pregnant.  FYI-I'm pregnant now.

I was supposed to. Then they said no when I turned up, as I had to be ttc for longer at that point, and because I had a miscarriage not long before, they said I didn't need one. I just had my laparoscopy instead.. dunno why they couldn't just do it in one go.

I just had mine done in June 2014....when they put the dye in its like a pain/burning hurt so bad but it was like 5 min total....but I actually got preg that same month I'm now 16 weeks :) good luck

I had that prosedure done twice and it hurts like a mother fer andtjdt I found I have a one block tube one open tube

I had it, it was the worst cramps that I have ever had. Made me break out in a sweat. But after they were done injecting the dye it went away.

I had the procedure a few months ago. Went very smoothly and quickly. There was a little discomfort so make sure you take some Tylenol beforehand.
