When did you tell your Mum (or equivalent closest family member) you were pregnant?

I'm finding it so hard not to tell my mum, I'm 5 weeks and I will be 7 when I see her..... What do you think? Is 7 weeks to early or should I be more positive and celebrate!

I told my close family with my first, but I ended up announcing it. I was 7 weeks. With this pregnancy, even though I'm only 4 weeks, I still told family. I'm horrible about being hush hush about things like this lol. But my husbands step mom announced it on facebook last night lol. It's so hard to keep quiet. But I understand why it's important to wait till the 12 weeks before telling. Telling family is different though. They can be supportive early on.

I told my mom as soon as we found out (with both pregnancies)! I figured there was no way I would keep a miscarriage from her (we are pretty close) so I'd go ahead and celebrate with her! We didn't tell anyone else until 12 weeks!
