Is this a horrible baby name?

So I'm a huge Walking Dead fan! And decided that if we have twins I want to name them Daryl and Meryl! (Only in the case of twins) other wise I was thinking Herschel or Norman.. And everyone tells me those are awful names what do you guys think?

Honestly...yes :( But that's just one opinion. Merle and Daryl sound great but if it's not twins the other two names feel old.

My only suggestion to poeple when naming their kids is to consider that kids in school are mean and to think about their future and if the name would be a deterrent. I wish I could say that their name won't affect anything but I've seen it happen.

I think you should name them how you want to. We already know a boys name ( i made it out of my SO his two names) and a girls name (from a cartoon my SO used to watch when he was younger) i dont care what other people going to think about it. We love the names and thats whats matters

The names themselves aren't awful, but consider if you want your kids to spend their life times associated with a show about zombies, and how they will feel telling someone in 10 or 15 years that their parents names them after a tv show that was on a decade before.

I picked my sons name by playing the name game. Me and my husband couldn't come up with anything that could be put with my sons name to make fun of him. People used to call me banana. I got tired of it one day in elementary and I told on them and they got a detention lol. They stopped after that.
​But if you can find a name that can't be made fun of then go for it.
