Insecure boyfriend

My boyfriend and I have been together for a while now and just recently started having sex. Unfortunately, after we have sex he says that although he enjoys it he also feels strange about it. He says that he doesn't want me to feel like he's just using me for sex. I'm not really sure how to convince him that I don't feel used or unappreciated. Any advice?
