Some Doctors ?

Question

So I went to the dr today for a UTI and she asked if I could be pregnant, so of course I said I could be in a couple days, with it being only 3 dpo for my cycle. So what did they do? Took a blood test. Last I recall even blood tests aren't sensitive enough to detect hcg this early, if I have enough to even detect.

I was 8dpo when I went in to the er last week and they did a urine test on me. I told them it would probably be negative because it would be too early. The doctor just looked at me like I was stupid. Isn't it nice when they think we don't know our own bodies?

And the test is crazy expensive. But I'm sure you have insurance. When I went in the couple months ago the doctor actually told me that some of the cheaper at home pregnancy test can indicate pregnancy before an actual blood test. Which is absolutely crazy in my mind. You would think nowadays they would be able to detect pregnancy the second happens! Good luck! It would be kind of exciting for them to tell you you are pregnant instead of having to wait for an at home pregnancy test to tell you!
