How do you know?

How did you know it was the right time to start planning a second child? My husband and I can't seem to get on the same page . I want one now and he doesn't, then he wants one and I want to wait a few months. This has been going on for over a year. What's the best age gap? How did you know it was the right time? We are financially stable and young. Just can't seem to settle on a timeline/
