Abnormal spotting! 2-3 days prior to AF!

Long story short I've had a ton of Prego symptoms and I'm expecting (but not hoping for) my period and it is typically very regular. Today I got to work and went to the bathroom and when I wiped it was bright red and pink very abnormal to when I start AF (usually dark brown and red). I didn't have a tampon or pad handy so I had to walk around for 5-10 minutes before I was able to get back to the bathroom. When I went back it it wasn't wet or drippy like AF

would be, but I put in a tamp anyway. When I got home there was only a little light brown blood on the tamp (after 6 hours) and nothing when I wiped. Like I said, I never get AF THIS EARLY. I'm confused. What does everyone think? Is it still possible to have IB? Or could it be preg spotting? Or do we think AF is just making me crazy?
