Short period?!

Question

So I normally have regular periods. 28 day cycles. 5 day periods but this time its only lasted 3 days which is unusual for me.  Ive heard of people getting bfp after short 'period' but not getting hopes up. Only get a tiny bit of blood when I wipe. Why is this?

I have a 26 day cycle and my periods are ussualy 8 or 9 days long. But I also had short 4 day period. I researched and researched to see if I was pregnant after several negative hpts. And it just said it might of been a short period and that's it. Take as a short period if you get several negative hpts. And bd when its time to ovulate. Good luck ???
