What tests should I get done if I'm ttc for about 1 year.

​I'm so frustrated with the doctors around me. Every time I panic and tell them I'm TTC and nothing is happening they just say "relax, you are an infant" etc. but now I want to really discuss with a ob/gyn  and get my self checked just for my satisfaction. So, while booking appointment what category should I boom under "general consultation " or infertility". I don't want the later since I hardly know that yet. Also what basic tests should I ask them to take? Thanks in advance!!

I had been ttc #1 for a year. I went to my first appt and tried to request certain things because I was pretty much fed up with trying. But, there's a protocol for how things are done and it probably depends on your situation. Mine was bloodwork, ultrasound, more bloodwork, then an HSG test. I've read that while it's uncertain, there is an increased chance of conceiving after an HSG. I certainly believe it because here I am 5 weeks pregnant. Best wishes!

If you have been TTCing for over a year then you should tell them that and that you haven't conceived. That is the req for starting looking into infertility issues. They should do a full blood panel to make sure everything is good that way then they will probably do an internal ultrasound to see if the can see anything and will ask you a ton of questions.

​Personally after they did all that with me and couldn't find anything they did a laproscopy and a Hysteroscopy with dye and found out all the issues that I have.  I don't know if they would do something else with you first or not.
