Chemical pregnancy
I've had a mirena in for 4 months and have just had a chemical pregnancy. It would appear that the mirena doesn't prevent ovulation and fertilization it just makes the uterus a hostile environment for any fertilized egg to implant. That really doesn't sit well with me. I don't like the idea of being able to conceive then going through the emotional rollercoaster of a cp. I want the mirena out asap but don't know where to go to get it out. I had it put in under a general anesthetic. I've heard of many women having trouble getting their doc to take it out. Does anyone know if just a gp can take it out or would I have to see someone at the hospital where I got it put in?
