Can home pregnancy test results change?

I took a home pregnancy test early this morning, only 1 line showed up (not pregnant) within a minute or so. I threw it in the trash. For some reason a few hours later I had the urge to look at it and it is positive. We've been trying fo so long and I don't want to get my hopes up if I'm really not pregnant. Can they change if they sit too long???

Yes they can and you're advised to not read them after the time limit. But I know I personally have NEVER had a negative test turn positive later. Doesn't mean it can't happen I just haven't experienced it. So if I were you I'd not get too excited just yet but test again in the morning with fmu. Or even later this night if you've gone awhile not peeing or drinking. Good luck!!!!

Thanks girls. The line is not colorless at all. But like I said I only waited a min or two and then threw it away and went back to bed. Should have waited longer. Here's a pic.

That's called an evap :/ you can retest in a few days it could be too early to tell but usually after 5-10 minutes if it doesn't show up by then, it's an evap line. They show up after the recommended time and they're usually pretty colorless. That's why they have the set time limits to read the results in. Test again in a few days maybe. GL
