Did you poop while giving birth?

I know they say you dont give a shit while your trying to push out your baby if u poop... but I always wondered this ? Did you poop while giving birth to ur little one?

Most do apparently- like a tube of toothpaste - but I'm sure my dh would have had great fun in telling me if I had with any if my three- but they were very quick births, and babes all came out clean so I'm sure I didn't (I'll keep telling myself that anyways!?) at the end of the day- your legs are spread eagle, your about to push a melon out your fandango- who gives a shit! .... Or does one! ? ?

Almost everyone does, even people who say they didn't, probably did. Whoever is down there just wipes it away and carries on, it's not like they announce it like "I know you're in immense pain, but you pooped, so hold up"

My doc told me afterwards it was weird that I didn't while I was pushing. But I was also in the hospital for two days before eating only ice chips. So.... There wasn't anything to come out :-)

I was afraid I would, but thankfully, I had to go in the worst way right before my water broke, so I didn't. My MIL was a L&D nurse for years though and said a good 80% of women do and they don't say anything, just slap down a new plastic sheet and keep going.

I've not given birth but I was with my friend when she did. She was SO embarrassed when she pooped but the midwife just giggled and said almost all women do. She said, "You're pushing... eventually SOMETHING is going to come out."
