Sex during a uti?

I was diagnosed with a uti last Friday, and I been on antibiotics ever since and currently still on them. My boyfriends dying to have sex again but I don't wanna risk it and he understands but I have needs too. And I'm just wondering when am I clear to have sex again?

Not until your uti is completely gone can you have sex again or else it will take longer. It's better to just wait.

Wait until you have zero symptoms & use a condom. I read that his penis could be what's introducing the germs into your lady parts.

Call your doctor and ask. Honestly sometimes it's safe to have sex after three days of treatment for a UTI. It depends on the antibiotics and what type of uti you have. So best bet call the doctor and don't be embarrassed they would rather you ask than possibly making the uti worse. Best of luck!

I know this doesn't happen to most people. But for me, i've only been treated for a uti once because it happened after a sexual assult, so I didn't take care of my body.

But I get them frequently now. I never go to the doctors because within two weeks they are gone. For me, if it's just having to pee alot, and a pressure feeling while peeing, and I have sex, it will go away. It's like sex cures it for me!

But i'd say it depends on your symptoms. If it's itching/burning.. You might not want to.

If you do, and he finishes inside you, try going to the bathroom a few minutes after.
