Age differences in relationships?

Question

Do you think they're a big deal if they're a small difference of 1-5 years? 
I'm 17, my boyfriend is 21. A few people think that it's inappropriate, but what about "couples" that are 13yo with 18yo+? Those aren't? 
I think if a 16/17yo are involved with someone who is a few years old than him/her, they must be responsible enough to actually be in a relationship. It isn't restricted to those age differences either, couples can be 4-10+ years apart and there are still known issues. What is your opinion? Don't digress to comment, there's surely no judgement here. ?

I'm 16 and my boyfriend is 23. In a week we'll have been together in this long term serious relationship for half a year. There are problems, such as having different friends, and people judging us. But I love the relationship we have. And don't tell me it's illegal, because we're not having sex (waiting till marriage), and even if we were, it's not illegal in Canada. So, age differences don't matter as long as you're serious and mature about it.

Well mostly guys in that age messing with girls your age only want one thing ... they may seem all loving and blah blah But it's their strategy to get what they want from you ... not saying he is doing that but 9 times out of 10 he is or guys that age are

Maturity level is more important than age. Plus,  in 10 years, that age difference won't seem so significant. I was 16 (almost 17) when I started dating my hubby, who had just turned 20. I'm now 34 & he's 37, & we've been married for 15 years.

I'm not in one but my sister is 25 and her husband is 31. They started dating when she was 17 (he was 23) and you know what, they have such a strong, healthy relationship. And in the beginning everyone said it was horrible he needed to find someone his own age. But I'm glad they stayed together, my sister was the rebel child, ALWAYS in trouble with the law, and school, and even my parents. And when they got together she changed and became such a better person. So in my opinion I don't think having a small age difference is hurting anyone..
