Waiting to see an OB

I am 5+1 today. I just got my pregnancy confirmed at my regular doctors office on Monday. I do not have maternity insurance so I had to apply for Medicaid, I mailed my application yesterday with my proof of pregnancy :) I know that they have 45 days to process your application...that seems like forever!!! I am probably going to be around 12 weeks or more before I even get to see my OB for the first time. Is that okay? I'm sure it is but I'm just concerned...I wish they could just get me approved today! lol I'm so impatient :( when did you ladies first see your OB's?
