When did you tell family?

I'm not pregnant yet.  Just wondering.  I know they say to wait until after the 1st trimester to share your news but I can't imagine going that long without telling my closest family members.  When did you tell?

They say that risk of miscarriage drops to less than 5% at 8 weeks and even lower obviously at the end of 1st trimester. We told a few close friends and family members at around 6 weeks, we went with the rule of telling people that we could rely on if something bad did happen to share our grief with and support us.

I told everyone as soon as I found out. When I say everyone I just mean family and close friends. I thought about waiting but I really couldn't, I was waaaayyyyyy to excited plus it's nice to talk to people about it like if you have friends that have been pregnant before. I know I had a ton of questions

We've told our closest friends (I'm exactly 5 weeks along) & we're telling family around Thanksgiving ☺ (I'll be approximately 8 weeks along).

We told both sets of parents at nearly 8 weeks but I was nearly 7 weeks when I found out but everyone else around 13 weeks due to not having a scan till 12+4 xx

Told a few close friends and sister, and cousins because I have been really sick with morning sickness!  Doctor wanted to put me in hospital yesterday but without insurance that would have been EXPENSIVE!!!  So they helped me with other options to keep ice chips and Gingerale down!!!
   Telling our parents at Thanksgiving and other friends.  Then at Christmas  we are posting iron Facebook ????

Told my mom and sisters as soon as i found out.. my mother inlaw and sisters in law at about 8 weeks

We told parents at 9 weeks, everyone else at 12 weeks after ultrasound! I enjoyed just me and my partner having our secret for a while!
