Is sexual assault a problem on college campuses?

It isn't limited to college campuses. It's a problem everywhere. Especially (but definitely not limited to) where alcohol is involved. I think if drinking weren't such a huge part of "college culture" sexual assault would be much less of a problem.

Lots of sexual assaults happen on college campuses for a lot of reasons.  But what's even more alarming is how the adults are handled on campuses. When you have an enviorment like college where drinking and sex are totally normal parts of daily life for such a high percentage there are bound to be issues. Our society encourages boys to have sex and lots of it with lots of women and the lines are often blurred about what's acceptable. I was assaulted in college at a party I was at with my roommate. I was playing drinking games and dancing with the guy all night. We even kissed but then he refused to take no for an answer when he walked me home. When I reported it to campus police I was basically told that bc we had both been drinking and a lot of ppl had seen him and I kissing and dancing and having fun that no one would believe he had assaulted me.

Teaching girls to be safe and not drink too much is one thing 
How about teaching the guys not to do it in the first place

Kristins Law (The Kristen French disappearance at Cal Poly) was to change how campus police work with local or state law enforcement. What campus police did in her case is a disgrace and not only was she never found, her killer walks free.
Has there been any changes made to how rapes are reported and handled?
